This year began with a month-long journey through South America. I started in Paraguay, a country I had not visited before, exploring Asunción and Encarnación. From there, I travelled by bus to Brazil, where I visited Porto Alegre, Florianópolis and the beautiful Serra Gaúcha region. Later, I flew to northern Brazil and continued overland towards French Guiana. The journey then took me through Suriname, before finishing in Guyana an unforgettable route through a fascinating and less-visited part of the continent. In April, I spent almost a month in Southeast Asia. My itinerary included the Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam, followed by a few final days in Shanghai. In September, I travelled to the Balkans. During two intensive weeks, I visited Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro and Albania. With limited time, I focused mainly on the capitals, but it was still a great opportunity to experience the character and atmosphere of each country. That is all for this year, but the next adventure is already waiting. In January, I will set off on a Caribbean cruise, starting in Puerto Rico. After that, I hope to return to South America, although my plans are not yet fixed. I will keep you updated!
